How it began

Letter to Local 74

Dear Union Members,
I must thank you and give you a brief comment about the Ottumwa Beach party this past fall. I attended with three preteen girls, and we so thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I am a widow of a retiree, now alone, and decided to attend the party. It was a beautiful warm evening, the food was delicious and plentiful, along with drinks and desserts.
The girls had a ball at the beach, and all fell asleep on the way home, from going down the slide so many times! I sat on a picnic table, as the band played great music, and for the first time since his death I had a feeling of calm and peace. It was an AH AH moment for me, and a turning point that I can make it! We all had the best time and I want to thank you for all you do for all the employees!
Sincerely Kathy Grubb

Thank You Kathy for the kind words. We strive to include the members and families and show our support.
